TAG L.A. Open 2025

TAG (The Artists Gallery) presents L.A. Open 2025, an exhibition celebrating the visual art of emerging and established artists of Los Angeles County. The exhibition runs Wednesday, January 8 through Friday, January 24, 2025, with an awards reception and ceremony on Saturday, January 11, 2025, from 5-9 pm.

This call is open to artists 18 years and older residing in Los Angeles County. Submissions are accepted in the following mediums: painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, mixed media, sculpture, digital, and video art. AI-generated artwork is not accepted. Artists may submit up to 6 individual visual artworks as high-resolution JPEGs. Maximum artwork size is 60 inches high by 45 inches wide (framed). Maximum weight for sculpture is 25 lbs. Entry fee is $35 for the first submission, with additional submissions at $5 each. Media fee is $5. Artworks must be original, of the artist's own execution, and not previously shown at TAG Gallery in the past 3 years. All accepted artworks must be available for sale and must remain on display until January 24, 2025.

Three cash awards are offered: 1st Place $600, 2nd Place $400, and 3rd Place $250, plus six Awards of Excellence. The juror is Genie Davis, an art critic and writer. Acceptance notifications will be sent Friday, December 6, 2024. In-person drop-off dates are Thursday-Saturday, January 2-4, 2025, 1-7 pm. Shipped artwork must arrive by Saturday, January 4, 2025. TAG Gallery receives a 40% commission on all sales. The exhibition is held at TAG Gallery, 5458 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.
