TAG L.A. Open 2024

TAG Gallery and L.A. Open celebrate art and creativity in Los Angeles County. This exhibition is open to artists 18 years and older residing in L.A. County. The exhibition runs January 10 through February 2, 2024, with a reception and awards ceremony on Saturday, January 13, 2024, from 5:00 to 9:00 PM at TAG Gallery, 5458 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90036.

Artists may submit up to six original artworks in the following formats: Painting, Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Mixed Media, Sculpture, Digital, and Video art. AI-based artwork will not be accepted. Artwork must be original, of the artist's own execution, and not previously shown at TAG Gallery. Maximum artwork size is 60 inches high and 45 inches wide framed. Maximum weight for sculpture is 35 pounds. All entries must be submitted as high-resolution JPEGs (2-3 MB). Entry fee is $30.00 for the first artwork, with additional entries at $5.00 each. All accepted artworks must be for sale; TAG Gallery receives a 40% commission.

The juror is Kristine Schomaker, curator, art business coach, and publisher of Art and Cake magazine. Cash awards include 1st Place: $750, 2nd Place: $500, and 3rd Place: $250, plus six Awards of Excellence. Acceptances will be announced by Friday, December 9, 2023. In-person artwork delivery is January 3-6, 2024, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. Large-scale sculpture and video equipment must be installed on Monday, January 8, 2024, between 12:00 PM and 7:00 PM. Shipped artwork must arrive by Saturday, January 6, 2024. Artwork pickup is Friday, February 2 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday, February 3 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Shipped artwork returns are Wednesday through Friday, February 7-16, 2024.
