About This Call
syn·the·sis: digital craft is a national juried exhibition seeking works created using computer technology including AI, rapid prototyping, computer-aided design, 3D scanning, laser cutting and engraving, and subtractive processes such as computer numerically controlled routers and mills. The exhibition welcomes works where the digital process may not be immediately evident, representing how analog influences inform digital creation to produce work categorized as digital craft. The exhibition investigates the future of craft and the implications of merging traditional craft with digital processes.
Accepted works will be exhibited in the Hayloft Gallery at Floyd Center for the Arts from June 8 through August 3, 2024. All relevant media will be considered for jurying. All submitted works must be available to be shown at the exhibition. Video entries cannot be accepted. The juror is Frankie Flood. Artists will be notified of acceptance by May 14, 2024. Open to all artists 18 years of age or older.
