SYNChronicity

SYNChronicity is a juried exhibition organized by SYNC Gallery, a cooperative gallery located at 931 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's Santa Fe Art District. The exhibition is designed to give artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their work in an elegant gallery setting. The exhibition will be juried by Doug Kacena, Director and Co-owner of K Contemporary gallery in Denver.

Eligibility and Requirements: All artists aged 18 and over are eligible. Artists may submit a maximum of 3 individual works of art. Only original works created within the last 2 years will be accepted. All work must be suitably framed or ready for installation. All 2-D and 3-D media, styles and techniques are eligible, except audio and video. Two-dimensional work must not exceed 36" in the horizontal dimension (including frame) and must not weigh more than 10 pounds; all 2-D work must be wired and ready to hang. Three-dimensional work on a pedestal must not exceed 18" in diameter. Floor-displayed 3-D work must not exceed 36" in diameter and 50 pounds. Suspended 3-D work must not exceed 36" in diameter and 84" in length and must not weigh more than 20 pounds. All accepted artwork must be hand-delivered to and picked up from SYNC Gallery; artists outside the Denver metro area should consider this when applying.

Entry Details: The entry fee is $35 for up to 3 artworks (nonrefundable). Entries are accepted only through the CaFE online system with a deadline of January 31, 2018 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Submissions must include artist contact information, artwork titles with year completed, medium, dimensions and sales price, and an artist statement. Juror selections will be announced February 4, 2018. Hand delivery of accepted artwork is February 12 & 13, 2018 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. The exhibition runs February 15 - March 10, 2018, with an opening reception and awards presentation on February 16, 2018 from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Awards for Best in Show, 2nd Place, and 3rd Place will be presented by the juror. Unsold artwork can be picked up March 10, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. or March 11, 2018 from Noon-4:00 p.m. SYNC Gallery retains a 30% commission on all sales, with payment mailed on March 19, 2018.
