Sylvia White Gallery: Solo Exhibition Opportunity

Juried by Sylvia White, founder and director of Contemporary Artists' Services and Sylvia White Gallery. The gallery opened in 2008 and has exhibited artists including Robert Rauschenberg, Ed Ruscha, Robert Graham, Ed Moses, Dale Chihuly, William Wiley, and Viola Frey.

Selected artists will participate in the 4th Annual Juried Group Show running August 3-September 3, 2011. Additionally, three artists will be selected for concurrent solo exhibitions. All entries are considered for both opportunities. The opening reception is Friday, August 5, 5pm-7pm. Work pickup is Saturday, September 3, 3-5pm or Sunday, September 4, noon-3pm.

Eligible entries include paintings, mixed media, works on paper, photography, sculpture, installation art, digital media, video, and performance. Open to all US and international resident artists at least 18 years of age. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, $5 for each additional image (maximum 11 images for $75 total). Optional website review is $50. Artists will be notified by July 10. All accepted work must remain in the gallery for the duration of the exhibit and must be available for sale. The gallery retains 30% of the selling price. Artists are responsible for delivery and return shipping and for insuring their own pieces. All work must be suitably framed, wired, and ready for hanging or installation. Graphics, prints, watercolors, and pastels must be framed under plexiglas (no glass). Shipped work must be packaged in a reusable container with no styrofoam peanuts, and a prepaid return waybill must be enclosed.
