About This Call
SWELL 2026 is Queensland's largest outdoor sculpture exhibition taking place at Currumbin Beach on the Gold Coast from September 11-20, 2026. Artists are invited to submit work across the following categories: Craft/Traditional Arts, Photography, Drawing, Film/Video/New Media, Mixed-Media/Multi-Discipline, Painting, and Sculpture.
The festival presents small, medium, and large-scale sculpture, installations, and digital works as a free outdoor gallery. The competition offers a $15,000 award with a total award pool exceeding $40,000. This is a national competition open to eligible artists. The submission deadline is January 31, 2026.
