About This Call

The Sweet Pea Festival of the Arts takes place in Bozeman, Montana during the first full weekend in August. The festival typically attracts approximately 15,000 people and features an art show, flower show, parade, theatre, music and dance performances, children's activities, and the Artist Marketplace. The 2026 Artist Marketplace sale hours are Friday, August 7 (4:00pm-8:00pm), Saturday, August 8 (10:00am-8:00pm), and Sunday, August 9 (10:00am-5:00pm).

The Artist Marketplace uses a blind jury selection process. Only handcrafted original work by the selling artist is acceptable; kits and commercially produced work are not allowed. Artists must submit four digital images (six images per media category if applying in multiple categories) in 1920x1920 pixel format. Images must be anonymous with no artist name, identifiable markings, logos, or booth images containing the artist. The jury will select a proportional mixture across media categories including Body Care, Ceramics, Digital Art, Drawing, Fiber, Food Specialty Items, Glass, Graphics and Printmaking, Jewelry, Metalworks, Mixed Media, Painting, Photography, Sculpture, and Wood. Only one artist in one medium is allowed per booth. A team of two people producing items jointly in one medium may apply as a single exhibitor if they have been working together regularly. The application fee is $35 (non-refundable jury fee). Selected artists must commit and pay the booth fee by Sunday, June 7, 2026. Early payment by Sunday, May 24th results in inclusion in the Schedule of Events and social media promotion.

Artists must be present at their booth during the entire three-day festival and may have helpers if desired. Booth sitters will be provided on a limited basis for 2026. Artists cannot have a booth at any other festival in Bozeman the same weekend. Booth spaces are 10'x10' or 20'x10' (limited availability). Each artist receives two admission wristbands upon registration at Lindley Park Pavilion on Friday, August 7. Vehicles must be removed from the park by 2:00pm Friday and may return after 5:30pm Sunday. All work exhibited must match the quality, category, and body of work shown in juried images. Reproductions may be exhibited if labeled as reproduction or limited edition reproduction.
