SWA Annual Exhibition

This is an open call for the SWA Annual Exhibition. SWA Members may submit up to 4 pieces, with a maximum of 3 pieces accepted per artist. Entry fee is $30 per piece.

Artwork Requirements: Original art conceived by the artist and completed within the past five years. No copies, class work, work done under supervision, work printed by any commercial process, or oil under glass. Work cannot have been shown in a previous SWA Annual Exhibit, and paintings cannot have been in the SWA show immediately prior to the Annual. An artist cannot win Best of Show two consecutive years. Smallest dimension, including frame, cannot be less than 16" on each side or 256 sq in total. Largest dimension, including frame, must not be greater than 60" or 3600 sq in, with weight no more than 25 lbs. Flat hangers with wire only; no hardware may project beyond back of frame. Tape or sleeves on wire ends are required. Use PLEXIGLAS on full watercolor sheets (and larger) when using a metal frame.

Digital Image Requirements: Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images must be cropped to show only the artwork with no visible matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use sRGB color profile for best results. Digital images are required for entry and the Annual Catalog and will be used for jury selection. Entry fees are not refundable and must be submitted and paid by the entry deadline of June 6, 2025.
