Surrealism: It Is, But It Isn't (Part 2)

The Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios is hosting an online exhibition featuring surrealist artwork from artists across the United States. Selected works will be featured in a curated exhibition on the Woodlands Art Gallery & Studios website and social media, showcasing art that engages the senses, challenges preconceived notions, and invites introspection.

Artists may submit up to 5 images of original work exploring the theme of surrealism, including dream-like scenes, symbolic imagery, and the depths of the subconscious. Both 2D and 3D works are accepted. 2D submissions can be no larger than 48 in. by 48 in., and 3D pieces may be limited due to size. Submissions must include high-quality images of the artwork. The entry fee is $35. Applicants must be over the age of 18.

Selected artworks must be ready for display with all necessary hanging hardware included (wires, D-rings, etc.). Artists are responsible for delivery and collection of their artworks to and from the gallery. A professional photograph of the artwork must be received by September 13, 2025. The reception is scheduled for September 18, 2025, 5 pm - 8 pm, with the online display running from September 18 - November 14, 2025. Cash awards will be made based on entry fees collected and public voting, with winners announced via email and social media. Artwork must remain on display for the entirety of the exhibition dates.
