About This Call
Performance artists located in Boulder County are invited to submit qualifications and a proposal to perform at the Superior Community Center at 1500 Coalton Road. The venue features an open area with stadium seating for small performances and flexible seating to accommodate various performance sizes from staging up to approximately 20'x20' to intimate immersive experiences. Expected attendance is 300-1,000. The space includes ample natural light from skylights and roll-up glass garage doors, modern industrial design, Wi-Fi accessibility, and an in-house café and tap.
Selected performances will take place on one of the following dates unless otherwise proposed: November 5th, November 19th, December 3rd, or December 17th. A site visit prior to application is recommended but not required. Hours of operation are Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., Friday–Saturday 8:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m., and Sunday 12:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. Arrangements to speak with staff onsite can be made by contacting the listed email.
A CAPS subcommittee will review applications and select performers to be recommended to the Board of Trustees for a performance or performance series. The number of selected performances will be based on schedule availability and the performer's proposed fee. Applicants must submit one photo of a past performance, at least one and up to three video clips with descriptions, up to two audio clips with descriptions (if applicable), proposed performance schedule including setup, performance time and cleanup, proposed performance fee, and a brief letter of interest describing the proposed performance and any staging or equipment requirements. The Community Center does not have a sound system or stage. All applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent U.S. residents located in Boulder County. Budget range: $100–$3,000.
