Sunstruck | Group Exhibition

Sunstruck will bring together works that revel in the drama and allure of sunlight. This visual phenomena can happen between the dance of shadow and light, or the ways in which saturated hues can suggest heat-hazed afternoons, dreamlike glows, and shifts in time. Open to a wide range of mediums and approaches, Sunstruck invites both subtle and bold interpretations. From natural landscapes to imagined realms, to devoted mediums and experimental processes, the exhibition seeks artists who consider how sunlight affects their creations, perspectives, and attitudes toward time.

This open call is for local artists practicing within 100 miles of Bentonville, Arkansas. Artists must submit up to five artworks with accurate descriptions including title, year, medium, dimensions (H x W, inches), and price (or NFS). An artist statement of 200-500 words introducing your artistic practice, process, philosophy, techniques, inspirations, and intent is required. The application fee is $10. Drop-off dates are July 1-5, 2026, at 407 SW A St, Bentonville, AR 72712. The exhibition runs July 7 through October 4, 2026. Proposals will be reviewed by the gallery committee based on artistic quality, originality, and alignment with the gallery's mission. Midnight Gallery is a 434 sq ft space located in front of the speakeasy bar Callisto, near downtown Bentonville. The gallery has ceiling suspension capabilities with a 9-foot ceiling height and 10-pound weight limit. Content is rated PG-13. Artwork in the gallery is insured. The gallery will retain a 20% commission on all sales made during the exhibition. Works may rotate through the quarterly exhibition if sold during the exhibit, decided through partnership and collaboration with the artist. Artists must be able to drop off and pick up work at the Bentonville location. Those under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign required documents. Free art talks open to the public and marketing and exposure opportunities will be provided for featured artists.
