Sunrise Theatre Mural

The Fort Pierce Redevelopment Agency (FPRA) is seeking artist proposals for a mural installation on the back exterior wall of the historic Sunrise Theatre, located at 117 S 2nd Street, Fort Pierce, FL. The mural will serve as a classy, sophisticated, and vibrant enhancement to this treasured cultural landmark. Facing US1, the mural will be a striking visual experience for both drivers and pedestrians, welcoming visitors to the downtown arts district.

This call is open to professional and emerging artists with experience in large-scale murals. Artists from Fort Pierce and surrounding areas are strongly encouraged to apply. Collaboration between artists with complementary skills is welcome. Applicants must submit up to two digital concept designs depicted on the wall space, a brief description of the design approach, a portfolio or website showcasing previous mural work, and a budget proposal aligned with the $50,000 FPRA funding. Artists may submit up to 2 applications. The entry deadline is May 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT.
