Sunrise / Sunset

Artists are invited to submit original artwork for the "Sunrise / Sunset" exhibit at R Gallery in Boulder, Colorado. The gallery is seeking artwork in all styles and mediums that depict or are inspired by sunrises and sunsets, with a focus on iconic end-of-day and beginning-of-day colors. The exhibit will feature a mixture of realistic and abstract works.

The exhibition runs June 1 through July 10, 2022. Eligible artists must be Colorado residents, and all entries must be of original design and personal execution. Accepted media include painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, and mixed-media. Pieces should ideally be less than 30" wide including frame or case, though a limited number of pieces up to 48" wide may be accepted. The entry fee is $30.00 plus a $5.00 media fee. Submissions should include 1-10 images.

Accepted works must arrive by May 29, 2022. Notification of acceptance will be sent by May 12. An artists' reception is scheduled for June 2, 2022. All pieces must remain on display for the duration of the exhibition and must be for sale. R Gallery handles all sales and charges a 50% commission unless otherwise agreed upon. Work will be returned by July 20, 2022. Artists should provide a prepaid return label if sending work by carrier. R Gallery will send payment for sales by the 15th of the month following the sale.
