About This Call
The 36th Annual Summerfest is a two-day outdoor festival held July 18-19, 2015 in Evergreen, Colorado, hosted by the Center for the Arts Evergreen. The festival historically attracts approximately 6,500 visitors and kicks off Arts Alive Evergreen, a 10-day showcase event featuring visual and performing arts. Summerfest features gallery quality fine art and fine crafts selected through a jury process, a children's area, performances by local and featured artists, and a Beer & Wine Garden with food options.
The festival welcomes all artists exhibiting handmade work in any fine art or fine craft medium. Each exhibitor receives a 10' x 10' booth space on a flat, grassy surface, assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Artists must provide their own display booth, racks, and/or tables, and all booths must include a tent or overhead protection with walls. Booth fees are $250 for a 10' x 10' space, $475 for a 10' x 20' space, with additional charges of $50 for corner locations and $25 for electricity. Artists retain all revenue from sales. Full refunds are available until June 12th (minus a $25 administrative fee); half refunds until June 26th; no refunds thereafter.
Applications require submission of four images: three of individual pieces representative of work to be displayed, and one booth or grouping shot showing overall presentation and continuity of the body of work. The jury fee is $25 for online applications via CaFE. Artists must be present with their work for both festival days; representatives may not attend in place of the artist. Booth setup occurs Friday, July 17 after 1:00pm (must be completed by 6:00pm) and Saturday, July 18 after 7:00am (ready by 9:30am). Festival hours are Saturday 10:00am-5:00pm and Sunday 10:00am-5:00pm. Booth fee RSVP is due by May 30.
