About This Call
The Summer Solstice Market will take place on Sunday, June 21, 2026, from 10 am to 6 pm outside under the Market Shed and on the grounds of the Grand Rapids Downtown Market. The market will host 40-70 vendors offering handmade and locally produced items including artisanal goods, summer clothing, plants and gardening accessories, local produce and packaged goods, sunscreens and balms, and more. Guests will celebrate the official start of astronomical summer while shopping, enjoying entertainment, and purchasing cocktails and mocktails from the outside bar. Food and beverages are also available from Downtown Market eateries.
Vendors are accepted for a variety of product categories including but not limited to: baby clothing and balms, beverages (packaged), candles, crystals, DIY craft kits, fresh produce, gardening accessories, henna art, locally made food items (packaged only), plants, pottery, summer jewelry, swimsuits, and upcycled goods. Foods prepared under Cottage Food Law are prohibited. Food vendors must carry applicable food licenses and food products must be prepared or packaged in a licensed kitchen. Food and beverage for immediate consumption, mobile food establishments, and Special Transitory Food Units are not allowed.
Booth sizes and fees: 8x5 Covered Booth ($75), 8x10 Covered Booth ($100), 10x10 Uncovered Booth ($100). All 10x10 tents must have tent weights; no ground stakes are allowed. Vendors will be juried on a rolling basis and notified within three weeks of applying. Vendors are accepted for no more than four Downtown Market Vendor events in 2026. If accepted, liability insurance with required additional insured entities must be emailed to [email protected] no later than Friday, June 12, 2026. No refunds will be given for vendor cancellation after acceptance and payment.
