Summer Exhibitions SOLO and Group Opportunities | H Gallery + Studios, Ventura

H Gallery + Studios is a 10,000 square foot contemporary art space located in Ventura, California, nestled between Malibu and Ojai. The gallery includes a 3,000 square foot exhibition space, a 2,700 cubic foot suspended installation area, and 20 work studios. Opened in 2011 by Dab Art Co. founder Yessíca Torres and designer Rodrigo Aguilar, the gallery focuses on mid-career to established artists and has become a leading contemporary art space in the greater Los Angeles area.

Online exhibitions vary from 3 to 6 months, with a minimum of one solo exhibition selected per month. Gallery exhibition lengths may vary from 6 to 12 weeks. Featured artists are invited to attend receptions, and a selected few may be invited for recorded artist interviews and/or panel discussions. Submissions are reviewed weekly by the H Gallery curator for group exhibitions. Entries submitted on or before 4/30/2022 are considered for exhibition at H Gallery. Early applications are encouraged as exhibition considerations are made prior to the final deadline.

Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. All work must be original, unsold, and the artist must own sole copyright. 2D artwork selected for exhibition must be ready to hang with professional quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. The gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Sales remittances are paid within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images; additional images cost $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional video consultation with the gallery director is available for $100. Notifications are sent via email generally within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. Selected artists receive an "Invited" status for upcoming exhibitions, while "Wait List" status indicates potential future placement and guaranteed online exhibition within the calendar year.
