Summer Art Market 2025

The Summer Art Market is an annual event showcasing visual art produced by the Art Students League of Denver's active students, members and faculty. The 2025 event marks the 32nd year and will be held Saturday & Sunday, August 23 and 24 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the streets surrounding ASLD. The event includes more than 100 booths, exhibiting and selling the artwork of many artists, and brings in thousands of visitors. In addition to art, the event offers a variety of food, entertainment, art demos and KidART activities.

SAM is open only to artists active in the ASLD community, meaning participants must have a current membership and be able to demonstrate their participation as a student, board member, faculty, volunteer, etc. Participating artists are required to have an ASLD membership that expires no earlier than August 31, 2025. Space fees are $700 for a 10'x10' space or $350 per artist for a shared 10'x10' space. A limited number of double spaces (10'x20") are available for $1400 for ASLD instructors to share with selected students. Notification date is June 1, 2025, and space fees are due May 21.

Accepted categories include Book Art, Ceramics, Digital Art, Encaustic, Fiber Arts, Jewelry, Mixed Media, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, and Sculpture. All work must be original, unique and/or limited editions. Non-original, reproduced items such as note cards, t-shirts, jewelry and calendars may not be sold. Artists must submit 5 images representative of their work in each category for which they apply. The jury process reviews approximately 200 applications annually and selects around 175 artists to participate.
