Strokin' 10!

This exhibition is open to all current members of Tall Grass Arts Association, 18 years and older. Soft pastel must be the dominant medium. All work must be original, created and produced by the artist within the last three years. Work cannot be based on published material or another artist's work, created in a class or workshop, or collaborative. Photo references must be taken or inherited by the artist or given permission by the photographer. No work painted over mechanical prints, copies, or reproductions. Work previously exhibited in any Tall Grass Arts Association exhibition is not eligible.

Artists may submit up to five images. Current members pay $40 for up to three images, with a $10 fee per additional image. Only one painting per artist may be juried into the show. Maximum outer framed dimension is 36 inches in any direction. All work must be professionally framed and ready to hang, with no screw eyes, sawtooth hangers, name plaques on the front, or signed mats. Plexiglass is strongly recommended for shipped works; glass is at the artist's own risk. A minimum handling fee of $40 per container will be charged for shipped work. Images must be submitted as high-quality JPEG files, at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge, with a maximum file size of 30 MB.

The Best of Show award is $1,000, with additional cash and merchandise awards announced at the reception. All work must be for sale. Tall Grass Arts Association will receive a 30% commission, with the artist receiving 70% of sales. All accepted work must remain on exhibit for the duration of the show. If an accepted painting is not delivered, the artist will be denied eligibility to Tall Grass Arts Association shows for two years. Entry deadline is August 19, 2024.
