Street + Night + Architecture

Black Box Gallery is hosting a group photography exhibition on Street + Night + Architecture. The show will feature work exploring these three subjects, celebrating the creativity and passion of contemporary photography. The gallery encourages photographers to explore techniques, aesthetics, and ideas that represent the creativity and possibility of contemporary photography within these subjects.

The juror is Todd Johnson, founder and director of Black Box Gallery, who holds an MFA in Photography from the San Francisco Art Institute and has 25 years of experience in arts education and curation. The exhibition runs July 1-25, 2024, with 24 photographs selected for the physical gallery and an additional 30 selected for the online gallery annex. All 54 photographs will be included in a catalog available for purchase on Blurb Books.

Black Box Gallery provides free printing, matting, and framing for all selected work. Prints are produced on an Epson Stylus Pro archival inkjet printer on Epson Premium Luster Photo paper in a color-calibrated environment. Selected photographers must provide high-resolution TIFF or JPEG files. Exhibition prints are kept in flat files after the show for future promotion and sales. Black Box Gallery takes a 50% commission on sales, with 50% going to the photographer. All rights remain with the photographer, and no sale or printing occurs without prior consent. Entry fee is $40. Photographers may submit 1-5 images. Open to international photographers.
