STRATA III: Manifesting Through the Layers

STRATA III is a virtual group exhibition open to all 2D and 3D artists, national and international, working in painting, drawing, photography, graphics, digital, and sculpture. Artists must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

The exhibition theme invites artists to explore "STRATA" and layers—whether literal (in material usage or striated appearance) or symbolic (layers of meaning and complexity). Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly: Does your work reflect layered aspects of our pandemic-impacted world? Does it represent the complexity of current world traumas and socioeconomic striations? Or perhaps layering is an aspect of your process to achieve expression and beauty? All mediums and modes of expression are welcome.

Selected artists will be featured in a virtual group exhibition on the Verum Ultimum Art Gallery website and displayed in a gallery setting (with works appearing in scale) in Verum's virtual gallery platform. Works will be promoted through social media channels and featured in online blog posts, with social media attention focused on the exhibition for a minimum of 6 weeks. An exhibition book will be produced and remain in the Verum Ultimum library. Notification of accepted work will be sent by email by July 25, 2025. The exhibition opens virtually at the end of July and runs for one month, with the exhibition page remaining on the website permanently.

Entry Requirements: Submit 2-6 digital JPG images. Entry fee is $25.00 for 2 images, with an additional $5.00 for each image over 2. Artists retain all copyrights to their work. Selected artists grant Verum Ultimum Gallery rights to use images for promotional purposes only on printed materials and the gallery website.
