StoriesToArt.com - Calling All Artists, Artisans, Poets, and Songwriters 2017

StoriesToArt.com invites artists, artisans, poets, and songwriters to submit original work inspired by provided stories. The platform empowers art lovers to select exclusive pieces of art or commission art, music, or poetry inspired by their own stories and memories. Artists on the site keep 60% of their sales, and 5% of StoriesToArt's profits go to arts education.

Participants must submit between 3 and 6 entries total, with at least one piece inspired by one of the provided stories. All entries must include an accompanying story (maximum 150 words). At least 3 pieces entered must be available for sale on StoriesToArt if invited to exhibit. Work can be in any media including paintings, sculpture, illustration, comics, animation, industrial design, jewelry, textiles, mixed media, photography, poetry, and songs. Entry fee is $15. Visual artists must submit images at least 1920 pixels on the longest side. Songs are limited to 3.5 minutes. Poetry is limited to two pages. All work must be dated and signed.

In Round One, a jury panel of professional artists, poets, and songwriters will select up to 400 artists to invite to exhibit on StoriesToArt.com. In Round Two, judges will select 12 winners whose work will be featured prominently on the site. First place artwork and profile will be featured on the StoriesToArt homepage, with 2nd and 3rd place also featured, and 4th-12th place receiving honorable mention. All other selected artists will be invited to exhibit on StoriesToArt. The call is open to artists from the United States, including students, early-career artists, amateurs, and established artists.
