About This Call
Studio Channel Islands invites all art forms for Stories, Parables & Tall Tales. Works of art should be inspired by unique memories and creative meanderings. Accepted categories include 2D, 3D, video, film, performance, and installation.
The exhibition accepts video, film, performance art, installation, and works requiring external electrical sources. Artists must provide all their own equipment, including motors, computers, iPads, extension cords, projectors, and headphones. All submissions must be original work. The juror is Christine Brennan.
Entry fee: $45 for non-members, $35 for members with code. Submit 1-3 images. Artist notification date is November 21st. Exhibition dates: December 1st, 2016 – January 21st, 2017. Opening reception: December 3rd, 2016, 5 PM – 7 PM. Artwork drop-off: November 23rd, 9 AM-3 PM or November 29th, 9 AM-5 PM. Latest shipping receipt date: November 29th. Pick-up: January 21st, 1-3 PM or January 24th, 11 AM-5 PM. Artists shipping artwork must provide a return label.
Awards: Juror's Awards for three works. Cash prizes: 1st Place $500, 2nd Place $200, 3rd Place $100.
