Storied: Narrative Art

Storied is a juried group exhibition open to all narrative art in any medium. All artists 18 years of age and older residing in the United States are eligible. The exhibition will be juried by Jen Brown, Development Coordinator for Artlink Contemporary Gallery, who holds a BFA in metalsmithing from Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and an MA in Art History from the University of Iowa.

Narrative artwork is that which tells a story—whether a personal experience, historical happening, or imagined tale. From Frida Kahlo's self-portraits to Artemisia Gentileschi's interpretations and cave paintings, artists have long communicated through narrative work, allowing viewers to think, feel, interpret, and explore. This exhibition is open to all artists who tell stories in any medium.

Entry fee is $12 per entry, with up to 10 entries allowed. Work samples may include up to 10 images, 6 audio files, and 6 video files (minimum 1 total sample required). The exhibition runs January 8 - February 8, 2026. All accepted artworks must arrive at Artlink no later than December 14, 2025. Artists may hand-deliver during gallery hours (Thursday 10am-8pm, Friday & Saturday 10am-6pm, Sunday 12-5pm) or ship via UPS, FedEx, or USPS with a return shipping label included. Framed shipped work must use plexiglass, not glass. All artwork sales are subject to a 35% sales commission. Artwork will be insured during exhibition; Artlink is not liable for damage or loss in transit or from improper artist preparation.
