About This Call
The Prairie Arts Center and the Stillwater Arts Council present the 2026 Stillwater Arts Festival (SAF), happening April 18-19, 2026, in the heart of Stillwater, Oklahoma. Now celebrating more than 40 years, SAF continues its longstanding tradition of kicking off Oklahoma's spring arts festival season. Recognized for exceptional artist hospitality, the festival is a juried show featuring up to 60 regional and national artists and awarding $2,000 in prizes.
The festival takes place at Prairie Art Center, 1001 S. Duck Street, with show hours Friday 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am - 6:00 pm. Artists receive 10x10 booth spaces for a $125 booth fee, with setup Friday 8am - 12pm. The application fee is $25, and artists must submit five photographs including one booth shot through ZAPPlication.org by January 13, 2026. Applications are accepted November 18, 2025 through January 13, 2026, with notifications sent January 30, 2026.
Prairie celebrates the visual arts through its Artist Merit Awards, providing 7 prizes totaling $2,000 to SAF exhibitors in multiple media. The festival offers complimentary meals to artists, overnight security Friday night, parking for RVs and standard vehicles, and free public admission. Home to Oklahoma State University and known as the "Friendliest College Town," Stillwater offers an inviting backdrop for artists and festivalgoers alike.
