Still Here, Still Native | A Native American Art Exhibit

The Arts Council of Fayetteville | Cumberland County is seeking submissions for its Native American Heritage Month art exhibition. The exhibition runs October 28 - November 27, 2022, at 301 Hay Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301. Artists affiliated with any Native American tribe, nation-wide, are welcome to submit.

All mediums are welcome, including photography, paintings, mixed/multi-media work, sculptures, ceramics, beadwork, textiles, regalia, basket weaving, quillwork, and instruments. If your submission has cultural or historical significance, include that information with your submission. Hanging works should be appropriately framed with a wire hanger for the Walker Hanging System. 3D works will be displayed on pedestals. Selected artists will be notified by September 30, 2022 via email.

Artwork must be shipped or delivered between October 1 - October 21, 2022. The opening reception is October 27, 2022. Artwork pickup/return shipping dates are November 28 - December 9, 2022. Artists retain copyright to their work but authorize the Arts Council to use photos for promotional purposes. The Arts Council retains a 30% commission on all sales. Artists are responsible for all shipping and material costs and must provide a return shipping label or FedEx/UPS account number. Work received after October 26, 2022 will not be installed, and submitting artists will be responsible for return shipping costs.
