Sticking Together: Approaches to Collage and Assemblage

Artlink invites artists to submit work exploring collage, assemblage, photomontage, quilting, installation, and mixed media approaches. This exhibition responds to contemporary fragmentation through the combination of existing elements, offering aesthetic harmony and multiple viewpoints. Artists are encouraged to think broadly about various ways collage, assemblage, and other processes of combination are evidenced in their work.

The exhibition will be juried by Teresa Vazquez, an artist, educator, and writer with an MFA in Studio Art from the Art Institute of Chicago. She is currently the Art Education and Pre-Art Therapy Program Director and Assistant Professor at University of Saint Francis, and a Teacher at Newfields' Creativity and Wellness Programs.

Submission Requirements: Entry fee is $12 per entry, up to 10 entries. Eligibility is open to United States residents 18 years of age or older. Work samples may include up to 10 images, 6 audio files, and/or 6 video files (minimum 1 total sample required). Entry deadline is February 16, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Jury notifications will be sent after February 23, 2025. Artwork drop-off/delivery deadline is March 16, 2025. The exhibition runs March 27 - April 27, 2025.

Accepted works must be professionally presented and ready for installation upon delivery. All works will be insured during exhibition. Artlink is not liable for damage or loss in transit. A 35% sales fee applies to all artwork sales, with checks mailed to artists following the close of the exhibition.
