About This Call
The 3rd Annual Statesboro Festival of the Arts takes place at The Market at Visit Statesboro and surrounding campus in downtown Statesboro, GA on Saturday, March 20 and Sunday, March 21, 2027. Artist setup is Friday, March 19, 2027, with a VIP Invitational Patron Preview from 6-8pm. The festival features juried art vendors, live music, activities for children, a food truck court, and southern hospitality. The Market at Visit Statesboro offers 7,500 square feet of indoor space for 30 vendors with roll-up garage doors and views of cultivated greenspace, picnic areas, a boardwalk, and bridge connecting to historic downtown Statesboro. The surrounding campus provides a spacious paved lot for additional outdoor vendors and a stage.
Artists must submit applications through ZAPPlication.org by December 15, 2026 at 11:59pm EDT. Each application requires a $15 nonrefundable fee and five digital photographs: four showing the work to be exhibited and one showing the artist's booth (without signage, branding, or identifying attributes). Artists must be 18 years or older. Collaborative teams of no more than two artists are welcome. Artists applying in multiple media categories must submit separate applications and fees. Acceptance notifications are sent January 4, 2027. Booth fees and signed contracts are due by January 31, 2027. Artists may cancel and receive a refund of booth fees minus a $50 administrative charge through February 15, 2027.
The festival uses a blind jury process evaluating applications on aesthetic merit, originality, technical proficiency, and marketability. SFA distributes $5,000 in cash prizes at the Artist Reception and Award Ceremony on Saturday, March 20 from 6:30-8:30pm. Artists are responsible for promoting and selling their work and must collect 8% sales tax on all sales. Security is provided during setup Friday 9pm-5pm and 24-hour security continues through festival close at 5pm Sunday, March 21. Artists must remain at the festival site until 4pm Sunday and are required to be present during all festival hours. Public admission is free.
