State of Senior Arts 2019

State of Senior Arts 2019 is the R.G. Endres Gallery inaugural juried competition for senior artists held every July. The exhibition runs during July with a gala reception on Friday, July 12th, 2019. The juror is Linda Nickell.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 60 years of age or older. Artwork must be 2D of any media, including photography. Work must be original, not more than 2 years old, not created in a class or under supervision of another artist, and not copied from published photos or photos taken by others without written permission. All 2D artwork must be wired and ready for hanging with no clip frames, saw tooth hangers, or string hangers permitted. Framed or unframed size should not exceed 25 square feet total. All work must be for sale, and prices listed on the entry form are binding and cannot be changed after submission.

Entry Details: Maximum of three entries allowed per artist. Entry fee is $35 for 1 to 3 entries (non-refundable). Only one piece per artist will be selected by the juror for final adjudication. Work must be delivered Monday, July 1, 2019 between noon and 5 PM. Late pieces will not be considered. If an artist fails to deliver accepted work, they forfeit their right to be in the 2019 show and will not be considered for the State of Senior Arts exhibit in the following 2 years. Artwork must be picked up Wednesday, July 31, 2019 between noon and 5 PM. Any artwork unclaimed 30 days after exhibition closing becomes property of the City of Prairie Village. The gallery sales commission is 40%. Awards: Five "Best of Category" awards at $500 and five "Honorable Mention" awards at $100.
