About This Call
Colorado Creative Industries (CCI) is accepting applications for the State of Colorado Public Art Registry for 2014/2015. Artists submitting a portfolio to the registry will be considered for State of Colorado public art projects through June 2015. The registry will be used to select artists for public art installations at several Colorado universities and colleges.
Projects include: University of Colorado Boulder Jennie Smoly Caruthers Biotechnology Building ($150,000); Northeastern Junior College, Sterling French Hall renovation ($79,200); Colorado State University Pueblo General Classroom Building ($102,167); Adams State University Richardson Hall renovation in Alamosa ($118,810, with eligibility restricted to artists residing in Alamosa, Rio Grande, Costilla, Saguache, Conejos and Mineral Counties); and Colorado Mesa University Academic Classroom Building and Fine Arts Building renovation in Grand Junction ($85,313).
All applicants must be legal residents of the United States. CCI accepts all media, styles and types of artwork including freestanding sculpture, wall sculpture, 2-d outdoor, 2-d indoor, floor treatment, video, sound, and functional art. The Art Selection Committees reserves the right to give preference to artists residing in Colorado. Applications must be submitted through CaFÉ online system and include six digital images of previously completed artworks, a resume, a statement of interest (250 words or less), and responses to application questions. Artists may submit up to six video pieces in addition to still images. There is no application fee. Deadline: July 31, 2014, 11:59 p.m. Mountain Time.
