Starry Starry Night

Starry Starry Night is a national juried exhibition celebrating the International Dark Skies Initiative and supporting the Tubac and Tubac Presidio Park Dark Skies applications. The exhibition promotes star-filled skies across the globe. Artists are urged to enter work that is innovative in concept and approach, whether representational or abstract. Work must have been completed within the last 24 months and cannot have been previously displayed at TCA. All work must be the original creation of the artist. Giclee reproductions printed on canvas are not permitted. No art may be removed from the exhibit prior to the close of the exhibition on Sunday, May 23, 2021, including sold art.

Jurors are Catherine Nash and Robert Renfrow. Awards include: Best of Show ($350), Award of Excellence ($250), Award of Merit ($150), and two Honorable Mention awards ($75 each). Entry fee is $36 ($32 with TCA Member discount), plus $5 for each additional entry image up to 4 entries ($3 each with member discount). Up to four works may be entered for consideration as digital images in jpg format only. All artwork must arrive ready to hang. If framed, work must be suitably matted in white, black, or neutral colors, simply framed, and firmly wired with no sawtooth hangers.

All work must be for sale. TCA will retain a 40% commission. Artists are responsible for shipping to and from TCA. Unsold work will be shipped back to the artist after the close of the exhibition. Artists must provide a barcoded preprinted prepaid shipping label for the return of their artwork. Exhibition dates are April 9 - May 23, 2021. Virtual opening reception is Friday, April 9, 2021 at 5pm. Shipped art is due by April 1-5, 2021, and hand-delivered art is due by Monday, April 5, 2021. Art must be picked up by Monday, May 24, 2021.
