Starlight on Snowdrifts (Beacons of Inspiration During a Season of Darkness)

The Yellowstone Art Museum in partnership with the Billings Airport announces the second art exhibition at the BIL Terminal Display Space, an elegant and expansive exhibition area in the new eastern wing of the airport's terminal. Selected artists can expect significant exposure from travelers, especially during the holiday season. The first exhibition during May-August received approximately 500,000 views.

The exhibition is open to all Montana-based artists working in 2D and 3D mediums. The show will be on display from November 19th until the end of May. Due to space limitations, the jury will select medium to large-scale artworks only; small pieces would be overwhelmed by the space and depth of the display. Video, digital, sound-based, performative, and installation-style artworks are not accepted. Accepted artwork must adhere to Billings Airport display rules.

Artwork submissions are accepted from September 24th until October 26th at midnight. A free application coupon is available for all who apply before October 20th (Code: Airport25). Applications must include a CV and artist statement, with one to nine images of art (three per piece if needed). The jury, composed of leaders and representatives from the Billings Arts Community, will make selections by October 29th, with artists notified by the end of that week. All accepted artworks must be delivered or shipped to the Yellowstone Art Museum by the specified date with a full inventory list and declared value. The Airport and Museum will facilitate a display agreement covering artworks under the Airport's insurance policy. Entry fee: $25.00.
