Staring at the Sun: MFAs Now

Satellite Contemporary in Las Vegas is hosting Staring at the Sun: MFAs Now, a survey exhibition of painting, drawing, printmaking, and photography from MFA programs. The exhibition runs from March 14 to April 10, 2015. NYC-based artist Ryan Estep, who holds an MFA in Painting and Drawing from Ohio State, will jury the selection of work.

Eligibility is open to all artists 18 years of age or older who earned an MFA between 2013 and 2016. All work must be original and completed in the past three years. Accepted media includes painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, and works on paper, with a maximum size of 42 inches in any direction. Artists may submit one to five images for a non-refundable entry fee of $25. Submissions are accepted only via CaFE (Call for Entry) at http://www.callforentry.org/.

Accepted works must arrive ready to install between February 23 and March 11, 2015. Hand deliveries are accepted on Saturday, March 14, between 10am and 2pm. All work must remain on display for the entire exhibition and be ready to hang. Satellite Contemporary will retain a 30% commission from the retail price of any sold work. All work will be available for purchase unless marked NFS on the entry form. Participants must pay postage and provide pre-paid return shipping labels; COD deliveries will not be accepted.
