St. Tammany Art Association 50th National Juried Artists Exhibition

The St. Tammany Art Association (STAA) will present its 50th National Juried Artists Exhibition, an annual competition of contemporary art, from July 11 to August 8, 2015. Up to $3,000 in cash prizes will be awarded, including a $1,000 prize for Best of Show. Other cash and merit awards will be presented at the discretion of the juror.

Open to artists ages 18 and up across the United States, the exhibition accepts original visual art completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at STAA. Up to three artworks may be submitted per artist for a $35.00 entry fee. Space limitations do not allow STAA to accommodate film, video, large installations, or reproductions of original artwork. Only one image may be submitted for each piece entered; multiple views of 3D pieces should be joined into a single image before submission. Online entry and payment will be accepted until 11:59 PM CST on Friday, May 1, 2015. Results will be announced May 20, 2015.

The exhibition will be held July 11 - August 8, 2015, with regular gallery hours Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. An artists' reception will be held Saturday, July 11, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., with awards presented at 7 p.m. A closing reception, Art Talk, and juror walk-through will be held Saturday, August 8, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Accepted pieces may be shipped or delivered during gallery hours from Tuesday, June 30 – Friday, July 3. All accepted work must be shipped in reusable crates with shipping pre-paid for return. Artists are encouraged to provide insurance on their work. Upon closing, art may be removed at 9 p.m. August 8 or during pick-up dates Tuesday, August 11 – Saturday, August 15 during regular gallery hours.
