St. John's Health Foundation Request for 2-Dimensional Artwork for Temporary Display

St. John's Health Foundation seeks original paintings, limited edition prints, and photographs for display in healthcare facilities. Artworks will be displayed on loan for a one-year period across 10 display locations within St. John's Health facilities, including hallways in the Emergency Department, Lab, Diagnostic Imaging, Obstetrics, Professional Office Building, and Inpatient Rehab Facility.

The Foundation uses Evidence Based Art Selection criteria to guide the collection. Preferred artwork includes nature imagery depicting healthy plants and flowers, landscapes with visual depth and open foreground, calming color palettes, wildlife depicting healthy animals, and figurative art with emotionally positive faces. Art should contribute to a healing environment, increase patient satisfaction, enhance wayfinding, relieve stress, and inspire social interaction. All artworks must be framed using durable, permanent media that is safe, cleanable, and requires minimal maintenance. Plexiglass, not glass, must be used for all displayed art.

Artists living in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Utah, and Colorado are eligible to apply. Submit 6-12 images of available artwork (1920 pixels or larger on longest edge, max 5MB per file). Artists selected in February-March will be contracted for one-year displays, with displays changed in spring and fall annually.
