About This Call
Since its founding in 1980, the St. George Art Festival has become one of the largest and most celebrated gatherings of artists in Utah. Each year, it brings together more than 180 juried artists from across the United States, along with tens of thousands of visitors who come to experience this vibrant showcase of creativity. Held annually over Easter weekend, the festival draws more than 30,000 attendees to the scenic town of St. George. Set in the heart of charming Town Square, the event is surrounded by historic buildings, playful water features, desert flora, and a whimsical carousel that delights visitors of all ages.
The festival is open to fine art only across multiple categories including ceramics/pottery, drawing/pastel, fiber/wearables, glass, graphics/printmaking/digital art, jewelry, leather, metal, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, and wood. Artists must furnish their own display panels and booth facilities, with booth spaces approximately 10' x 10' for single booths and 10' x 20' for double booths. Original art must occupy more than 50% of booth display, and artists must be present during all scheduled festival hours from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm Friday and 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Saturday.
The application fee is $25, requiring 5 images and a booth shot. Applications open September 1st with a deadline of January 16th. The jury process runs January 23rd-31st, with artists notified of acceptance status on February 6th. Produced by the City of St. George Parks and Community Services Department, the festival is located just a short drive from Zion National Park (42 miles) and Bryce Canyon National Park (140 miles).
