Spring Market Call for Art

ShenArts Gallery invites artists to submit work for the Spring Market, taking place during Winchester's 99th Annual Apple Blossom Festival at a prime, high-traffic location on the Old Town Walking Mall. The theme, "Let's Bloom," celebrates the beauty of spring: flowers blossoming, brighter days, and the return of warmer weather. Artists are encouraged to showcase work that captures growth, color, and the joyful energy of the season.

All visual and interdisciplinary media are welcome, including sculptures, resin art, woodwork, prints, greeting cards, and notecards. Work must be original, created by the artist, clean, free of damage, and exhibition-ready. Maximum piece size is 18" x 24". Submissions should include artwork title(s), medium, size, quantity of product, and a short artist statement (max 250 words). Pieces are not required to be framed, but if framed must be fitted with D-rings and wire. Any accepted piece may include up to 3 duplicates in the same form. All pieces must have a label on the back with title, artist name, price, medium, and quantity (if applicable).

Entry fees are $20 for members and $30 for non-members. The deadline to submit is February 17, 2026, with notification of acceptance on February 24, 2026. The opening reception is April 3, 5-7PM. Art drop-off and pickup will be at ShenArts Gallery, 128 N Loudoun St. Winchester, VA 22601. ShenArts retains 30% of the retail price towards operational costs.
