Spring Juried Member Exhibition

This is a juried exhibition for PSWNY members in good standing as of March 1, 2025. Entries must be original dry pastel works created within the last three years and not previously shown in a juried show in Monroe County or any PSWNY exhibitions. Work that has previously won an award in any national or international competitive show is not permitted. All aspects of the entry must be the artist's original work, including subject, photo reference, composition, drawing, and painting. Using someone else's photograph is not permitted.

Works must be in dry pastel with no oil pastels. Mixed media must be predominantly dry pastel, with the top layer at least 80% dry application. Only two-dimensional works are accepted, and paintings cannot exceed 24 inches on the longest side before framing. No diptychs, triptychs, mechanical reproductions, photography, craft, computer-generated art, or nudes are permitted. Entries may not be produced in any instructional class or workshop.

Entry fee is $10 per painting, with up to 3 paintings allowed. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. All paintings must be well framed and supported by picture wire only; saw-tooth hangers are not allowed. Wire ends must be covered with tape. Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background. Work may be for sale or not for sale. PSWNY expects 20% of sales, with payment due within 30 days. A brochure of all work with prices and artist contact information will be available for visitors.
