Spring Forward

Spring Forward is an online exhibition open to all artists in the United States working in 2D media. The exhibition runs from May 22nd through June 25th and will be displayed online only, not physically in the gallery.

Eligible media include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, egg tempera, and other 2D media on surfaces such as watercolor paper, canvas, rice paper, illustration board, and wood. Photography, 3D media, reproductions, and digital art are not acceptable. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and may not be copied from copyrighted material or partially painted by another artist. Work may be listed as not for sale (NFS) by entering 0 in the price section or contacting the gallery at [email protected]. There is no size limit for this show.

Submissions require 1-3 digital images. Entry fee is $15 for non-members and $10 for members. Members should use code "riwsmember" for the first entry and "riwsmember2" for additional entries. No physical shipping is required as pieces will be displayed in digital format only. If a piece is purchased, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society will receive 35% of the sale, and up to 50% of shipping costs will be provided at the gallery's discretion. Accepted work must remain available for the entire exhibition and may not be withdrawn prior to closing. Work information including title and price may not be changed after submission.
