Spring Break

The Rhode Island Watercolor Society is accepting submissions for their Spring Break exhibition, an online juried show with over $400 in cash prizes. The theme is open for interpretation: Where would you go on your spring break? What does spring break mean to you?

The exhibition is open to all 2D media (excluding photography and digital art) and open to all artists in the United States. Exhibition dates are February 25th - March 24th, with an online opening reception on Friday, March 3rd at 6pm via Zoom. Notification of acceptance will be February 24th. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, and egg tempera on any 2D surface. There is no size limit for this show.

Eligibility requirements: Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, may not be copied from copyrighted material, and may not be partially or wholly painted by another artist. Work may be listed as NFS (not for sale) by entering 0 in the price section or contacting the gallery at [email protected]. Submit 1-3 digital images. Entry fee is $15 for non-members, $10 for members. If the work is sold, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society will receive 35% of the sale. No accepted entry may be withdrawn prior to the close of the exhibition.
