Spring Awakening 2026

Spring Awakening 2026 is a juried exhibition presented by Atlanta Artists Center at Grandview Avenue Gallery, located at 2979 Grandview Avenue, Atlanta, Georgia 30305. The exhibition runs April 4 – May 19, 2026. Juror Erin Bailey is an arts administrator and painter specializing in soft pastels, with work featured in numerous juried exhibits and plein air competitions.

Entry is open to all artists 18 years and above. Artists may submit up to 3 works of original fine art in 2-D or 3-D media including painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, mixed media, fiber arts, and collage. Work must be original and created by the submitting artist, not created in a class or workshop. Previously juried AAC Grandview Avenue Gallery exhibitions are not eligible. Entry fees are $35 for AAC members and $45 for non-members. Submissions open February 7 and close March 7, 2026. Judging occurs March 8-15, with notifications sent March 16. Accepted work must be hand-delivered March 31 (10am-7pm) or April 1 (10am-1pm).

Awards include First Place $500, Second Place $300, Third Place $150, and three Honorable Mentions of $25 gift cards plus $25 cash each. The reception is April 12, 2026 (3pm-6pm). 2-D artwork must not exceed 60" on any side and be mounted by wire with D-Rings. 3-D work must be self-standing with maximum dimensions of 24" wide and deep and 48" high, not exceeding 50 pounds. Work created more than 10 years ago, photographs, AI-generated submissions, giclées, installations, and video are not permitted. All artwork sold incurs a 30% sales commission. Artists must retrieve their work within two weeks of the show closing or it becomes AAC property.
