Spring Awakening

Spring Awakening is an online juried exhibition celebrating spring through 2D artwork. The theme invites pieces inspired by spring's awakening in subject matter, symbolism, or emotion. The exhibition runs April 5th - May 2nd, with an online opening reception on Thursday, April 10th at 6pm on Zoom. Notification of acceptance is April 4th. Over $300 in cash prizes will be awarded.

Open to all 2D media excluding photography and digital art. Acceptable mediums include watercolor, gouache, acrylic, oils, ink, casein, and egg tempera on any 2D surface. Submit 1-3 images; entry fee is $15 per image for non-members and $10 per image for members. Work must not have been exhibited in a previous Rhode Island Watercolor Society juried show, must have been completed within the last 10 years, and must be original work not copied from copyrighted material or created under the direct guidance of another or following a tutorial. Work may be listed as NFS by contacting the gallery at [email protected]. There is no size limit for this show. If work is sold, the Rhode Island Watercolor Society receives 35% of the sale.
