Spot On #5

D'art Gallery, located at 900 Santa Fe Drive in Denver's Art District, invites artists to enter the "Spot On #5" juried exhibition. The show is juried by Laine Godsey, an artist, curator, and arts administrator with over 15 years of experience in arts leadership and curatorial direction.

The gallery is looking for creative approaches to your medium and invites artists to show their best work. There is an emphasis on works on paper this year to coincide with the North American Hand-made Paper Conference in Denver, but all mediums are accepted except video and performance art. Cash prizes will be awarded: Best of Show ($300) and three Honorable Mentions ($100 each), announced at the opening reception.

Entry fee is $40 for up to 4 images. Artwork must be original, completed, and ready to hang or display. Maximum size is 8 feet tall by 5 feet wide including frame, with a maximum weight of 50 pounds. All paintings must be framed or gallery wrapped with fully painted edges; two-dimensional works on paper must be framed. No Giclee prints or AI work accepted. Complex installations or fragile artwork must be installed by the creating artist or their representative. Accepted work will be exhibited October 24 - November 17, 2024. Results will be emailed the week of September 23, 2024. All artwork must be for sale and will incur a 30% commission if sold. Shipping and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the artist. Shipped work must arrive by October 19, 2024; hand delivery is available October 19-20 during gallery hours or by special arrangement. All accepted artwork must be picked up by November 17 between 4:00-6:00 PM or will be considered abandoned property of the gallery.
