About This Call
Juried exhibition open to artists in Spokane and throughout the Northwest Region (Washington, Oregon, Idaho). The juror is Karen Bubb from Boise Arts Commission. Cash awards will be presented to the top three artists, with $1,500 to the top award recipient.
The exhibition will be held at the Chase Gallery, City Hall, 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd., Spokane, WA, from May 3 to June 24, 2011. The community art exhibition space is adjacent to the City Council Chambers and features exhibitions by local and regional artists. Gallery hours are weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and throughout City Council Meetings on Monday evenings.
Artwork in all media will be accepted, though there is limited space for video or interactive computer-based works. Artwork must not exceed 60" in any direction and should arrive ready for installation. Works cannot be suspended from the ceiling or light fixtures. All artwork will be insured and available for sale, with a 20% commission on sold works. Artists are responsible for transportation to and from the exhibition. The Arts Director will make final decisions regarding placement and installation. The floor is carpeted. Entry fee is $30.00. Submit 1-3 images of your work.
