About This Call
The Spirit of Wyoming Bottle Label Contest invites artists to submit original artwork for consideration to be featured on Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottle labels. The theme is "Wyoming." Artists must reside in Wyoming or Teton County, Idaho, and be over 21 years old at the time of submission. The entry fee is $30.
Submissions must include a digital portfolio of 7 to 9 representative works dated 2017 or later. One piece must be designated as the "Entry Piece," which must be in square format with a minimum dimension of 22" X 22". Accepted mediums include watercolor, oil, pastel, pencil, acrylic, collage, and multimedia. Original artwork only; no prints or editions. The artwork must visually adhere to the Wyoming theme and cannot contain trademark symbols, words, flags, military or governmental insignia. Digital submissions must clearly indicate which image is being submitted for the contest.
A jury will select eight finalists based on artistic excellence and workmanship, appropriateness of theme, suitability for reduction to label size (3.5" X 3.5"), and appearance through the vodka bottle. The grand prize winner receives $2,000, a six-bottle case of vodka featuring their art, and their winning artwork will be reproduced on Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka labels for one year. The artist's name, title, and website will be included on the label. The top eight finalists receive recognition on the Jackson Hole Still Works website and 2 bottles of vodka. The original winning artwork will be silent auctioned to benefit the Wyoming Arts Council. Finalists' original artwork must be delivered by January 17, 2022, and the Virtual Voting Party takes place January 21-22, 2022, with both in-person and online voting options. Unsold finalist artwork must be picked up by January 28, 2022.
