About This Call
The Spirit of Wyoming Bottle Label Contest invites artists to submit original artwork for consideration to be reproduced on Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottle labels. The theme is "Wyoming." The grand prize winner receives $2,000 and their artwork will be featured on the vodka label for one year, with the artist's name, title, and website included on the label.
Eligibility: Artists must be at least 21 years old and current residents of Wyoming or Teton County, Idaho. Accepted mediums include watercolor, oil, pastel, pencil, acrylic, collage, and multimedia. Submissions must be original artwork only (no prints or editions). The entry piece must be a minimum of 22" x 22" in square format and must visually adhere to the Wyoming theme. A digital portfolio of 7 to 9 representative works dated 2017 or later must be uploaded. Entry fee is $35.
Eight finalists will be selected by a jury and their works displayed for public voting on January 12-13, 2023 at Jackson Hole Still Works (available both in-person and online). Finalists will be announced at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. The grand prize winner receives a $2,000 award, a six-bottle case of vodka featuring their art, and highlighted recognition on the Jackson Hole Still Works website. The top 8 finalists each receive 2 bottles of vodka and website recognition. The winning original artwork will be silent-auctioned for 2 weeks starting January 13, 2023, to benefit the Wyoming Arts Council. Runner-up works may be offered for sale at a 70/30 split (30% to Wyoming Arts Council) at the artist's discretion for a maximum price of $1,500. Finalists' framed original artwork must be delivered by January 11, 2023. Unsold artwork must be picked up by January 23, 2023, or will be shipped at the artist's expense.
