Spirit of Wyoming: 3rd Annual Highwater Vodka Label Design Contest

The theme for this contest is "Wyoming." Artists must reside in Wyoming or Teton County, Idaho, and must be over 21 years old at the time of submission. The $25 application fee includes submission of a digital portfolio of 7 or 8 representative works dated 2014 or later. The submission for jury consideration must be an original, ready to hang, 2D square piece with a minimum dimension of 12" X 12". Accepted mediums include watercolor, oil, pastel, pencil, acrylic, collage, and multimedia. Original artwork only; no prints or editions. The artwork subject must visually adhere to the theme "Wyoming" and cannot contain trademark symbols, words, flags, military or governmental insignia.

Eight finalists will be selected by a jury and their works displayed at the Voting Party at Jackson Hole Still Works on June 23, 2017. The grand prize winner will be selected by popular vote. The winning original artwork will be awarded $2,000 and reproduced on Jackson Hole Still Works High Water Vodka bottle label for one year. The grand prize winner receives a $2,000 award for the purchase of the original painting and a six-bottle case of Highwater Vodka featuring their art. The Top 8 Finalists receive complimentary tickets to the June 23 Voting Party and September 29 Bottle Release Party, plus a bottle of Highwater Vodka. Jackson Hole Still Works will acquire the winning piece and immediately donate it to the Art Association for a raffle to raise funds for visual arts programming. The original artwork will be raffled off on September 23, 2017. Seven runner-up works may be offered for sale at a 70/30 split, with 30% benefiting the Art Association.

Contest Timeline: Digital artwork submission and application fee due May 30 at 11:59 PM MST. Finalists notified June 5. Finalists' framed, original artwork due June 16 by 5:00 PM. Voting Party June 23. Unsold artwork must be picked up by June 30 at 5:00 PM or will be shipped at artists' expense. Bottle Release Party and raffle drawing September 29.
