Spirit of Wyoming 2023/24 Bottle Label Art Contest

The Spirit of Wyoming 2023/24 Bottle Label Art Contest invites artists to submit original artwork with the theme "Wyoming." The winning artwork will be awarded $2,000 and reproduced on Jackson Hole Still Works Vodka bottle labels for one year, with the artist's name, title, and website included on the label.

Eligibility: Artists must reside in Wyoming or Teton County, Idaho, and be at least 21 years old at the time of submission. Accepted mediums include watercolor, oil, pastel, pencil, acrylic, collage, and multimedia. Submissions must be original artwork only (no prints or editions), minimum size 22" X 22" in square format, with the subject visually adhering to the Wyoming theme. Entry fee is $30. Digital portfolios of 7-10 representative works dated 2018 or later must be uploaded, with one clearly designated as the entry piece for jury consideration.

Eight finalists will be selected by a jury including Rachel Clifton (Executive Director Wyoming Arts Council), Chas Marsh and Travis Goodman (Partners/Owners Jackson Hole Still Works), Katy Ann Fox (2015 Spirit of Wyoming winner), and Cassidy Post (2023 Spirit of Wyoming winner). Finalists' work will be displayed at the Virtual Voting Party via Jackson Hole Still Works social media January 17-19, 2024, with finalists announced at 7:00pm on January 19th. The grand prize winner will be selected by public voting. The winning original artwork will be silent-auctioned to benefit the Wyoming Arts Council. The seven runner-up works may be offered for sale at a 70/30 split (30% to benefit Wyoming Arts Council) at the artist's discretion for a maximum price of $1,500. Top 8 finalists receive highlighted recognition on the Jackson Hole Still Works website and 2 bottles of vodka. The grand prize winner also receives a six-bottle case of vodka featuring their art. Finalists' framed original artwork must be delivered by January 17, 2024, ready to hang with secure hanging hardware (no metal frames). Unsold artwork must be picked up by January 29, 2024, or will be shipped at the artist's expense. The silent auction winner will be announced February 5, 2024.
