Spillin' the Tea: A Mug Exhibition

"Spillin' the Tea" is a ceramic mug exhibition presented by Jane's Art Center. This exhibition celebrates the humble mug as a vessel for more than just drinks—a keeper of secrets, a witness to gossip, a companion in ritual. The exhibition invites ceramic artists to submit original, functional mugs or cups that reflect the power of shared moments and meaningful exchanges.

Along with your mug submission, please include a short written piece (maximum 250 words) in the form of a secret, confession, or piece of news—real or imagined—that could have been shared over coffee or tea. This text will accompany your work in the exhibition, adding a layer of narrative and intimacy to each piece.

Eligibility: Open to ceramic artists 17 and older. All submissions must be functional, original, and primarily ceramic. Mugs must have a handle and hold 4 ounces of liquid or more. Submission Deadline: August 22, 2025. Delivery Deadline: September 2, 2025. Opening Reception: September 6, 2025. Exhibition runs through December 31, 2025. Application Fee: $15 for first entry, $5 for each additional entry. Submit 4-6 high resolution JPEG images. Exhibition Venue: Jane's Art Center, 199 Downing St., New Smyrna Beach, FL 32168.
