About This Call
Spectrum 2025 is an international art opportunity to explore the vivid, nuanced, and boundless world of color, light, emotion, and perception. This competition invites artists to dive deep into their creative instincts and share their visual interpretations of the "spectrum" as a theme for an exhibition, publication, and sales. The spectrum can take many forms—whether inspired by the color spectrum, the spectrum of human emotions, the gradation of light, or the range of thoughts and ideas. Accepted subjects and categories include Abstract and Surrealism, Landscape and Nature, Figurative Art and Portraits, and Spectrum Fusion (blending traditional with modern).
This competition is open to artists worldwide, regardless of experience level, working in 2D, 3D, or mixed media. Artists can submit up to 6 artworks, with a maximum of 2 artworks accepted per artist. Submission is free of charge; a USD 35 selection fee applies only to selected artists. A money-back guarantee is available for all selection fees until the exhibition's official opening day.
Selected artworks will be showcased in an online group exhibition from December 14, 2024, to February 14, 2025. Benefits include publication in The Book of Arts: Spectrum (available online for free and as a high-quality print), promotion for artwork sales via the online exhibition, exhibition on ARTSY (the largest global community of art collectors), inclusion in an exhibition catalogue, permanent exhibition links and artist pages for lifetime visibility, digital exhibition poster and promotional badges, artwork reviews from visitors, exhibition promotion including press releases and social media presentation, analytics reports, potential publication in magazines and books within the Biafarin art network, a free online artist profile page on the Biafarin platform, and a digital certificate. Artworks created within the last 5 years are preferred, though there is no limit on artwork creation year. There is no size limit for submitted artworks. All styles and any abstract or representational interpretations of the subject are welcome.
