Spatial 2026

Spatial 2026 invites artists to explore how they use spatial language in their work. The exhibition celebrates the thoughtful use of negative space and the balance of spatial relationships between elements—whether expressed through stark contrast, geometric forms, minimalism, perspective, or volume in 3D work. Any original 2D or 3D work that follows exhibition guidelines will be considered for inclusion in the Virtual Gallery from June 15 – August 13, 2026. Show Chair: Patrice Drago. Entry is open to all artists internationally. A maximum of 6 original works created within the past 3 years may be entered. Work previously exhibited at MFA's Virtual Gallery within the last three years is not eligible for re-entry. All work must be uploaded through artcall.org with a file size no more than 10 MB. Entry fees are $30 for 1-2 entries, and $4.50 for each additional entry up to 4 more (non-refundable). Online entry opens February 17, 2026. Notification by email will be sent May 21 at 5 PM. Awards will be announced July 1 at 5 PM.

Work must be for sale and may be set to Price on Request. MFA's Virtual Sales Gallery is provided to North American artists. Artists in the 48 contiguous United States may set a price and will be reimbursed up to $40 in shipping costs for online sales if a receipt is provided. All other artists must enter Price on Request and purchase inquiries will be referred to the artist. Artists retain 80% from sales (85% for MFA Members), with MFA retaining 20% commission (15% for MFA Members). MFA requests that artists donate 20% from any sale made through a direct referral from MFA within three months.
